Over the past 10 years, the research funding has accumulated more than 10.69 billion RMB, among which the funding of vertical project accounted for 6.09 billion RMB and the funding of Horizontal project reached to 4.60 billion RMB.
In 1984, the research funding accounted for 4.58 million RMB. In 1992, when SCUT was listed in the first “Project 211” universities, the funding topped to 20 million RMB. In 1999, after the University was among the first “Project 985” universities, the total amount of funding increased dramatically from 0.44 billion RMB in 2007 to 2.12 billion RMB in 2016.
