[Abstract]
Today, the use of renewable energy is increasing day by day due to its advantages, to solve existing challenges such as the increase in power demand. Wind turbines can be a suitable solution for supplying power. Offshore wind turbines have the potential to generate large amounts of electricity, taking advantage of the strong and consistent winds found at sea. This can help meet growing energy demand and contribute to the decarbonization of the power sector. However, due to environmental conditions, a range of unpredictable events such as lightning, stormy weather and rough seas can have serious consequences on a wind turbine, potentially resulting in defective rotor blades, tower movements or, in the worst-case scenario, complete failure or collapse of the wind turbine. So, the control and maintenance of wind turbines is an important research topic. With the advancements in technology, such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, and advanced control algorithms, intelligent control systems are becoming more sophisticated and capable of optimizing the operation of wind turbines. These systems can efficiently manage maintenance and ensuring stability and reliability.
