60 technological achievements produced by SCUT made eye-catching presence at the 2nd China University Scientific and Technological Achievement Fair (S&T Fair), while programs and faculty members of SCUT received nine prizes that were awarded on the event.
This year’s S&T Fair opened on May 25 in Huizhou, Guangdong province, bringing together over 1,100 guests from governments, enterprises, and institutions of education and research around the world, as well as exhibits submitted by 350 universities and more than 3,000 firms.
Exhibits of SCUT were some of its top innovative research results, especially regarding luminescent materials, intelligent manufacturing, and environment protection and energy saving.
An introduction to these achievements was briefed on site to government leaders of the Ministry of Education, Guangdong, and Huizhou, who then gave high expectations to SCUT’s future endeavor to serving the development of the country and region with technology and innovation in a larger scale.
During the three-day show, SCUT’s booth was a hot zone that attracted attention of companies that were seeking for cooperation. Apart from receiving four prizes for excellent performance and coordination on the event, SCUT also had five projects winning Prizes for Trade and Collaboration. These efforts included signing two major cooperative projects with TCL Group and Renxin New Material.
The fair was jointly organized by the Ministry of Education, the Guangdong Provincial Government, and the Huizhou Municipal Government. The event aimed to promote and develop thorough collaboration between industry and academy, and exhibited over 8,200 technological achievements from around the globe, in particular focusing on intelligent manufacturing, electronic information, new materials, and petrochemical engineering.
