SCUT was ranked No. 65 by the latest Asia University Rankings released by the Time Higher Education (THE) on May 2, moving up 16 slots compared to last year.
This year’s table ranked more than 400 universities come from 27 Asian countries or regions, counting 73 universities in the mainland China, among which SCUT proceeded to take the 15th place after it was named 19th in 2018.
According to the publisher, The Asia University Rankings used the same 13 performance indicators as THE's World University Rankings did, while the indicators are recalibrated to reflect the attributes of Asia's institutions.
Universities are judged across all their core missions – teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook – to provide the most comprehensive and balanced comparisons available.
Across recent years, SCUT has been making solid developments in all aspects as it made steady progress in major universities rankings. Earlier in this April, it was ranked 12th, advancing 8 places compared to last year, in China’s Most Innovative University Rankings published by the Institute of World INS Conference.
